Bachelor and Master Theses

How to write your bachelor or master thesis at the Laboratory of Transport Processes:
- Get in touch:
- Find a topic in the Moodle room and reach out with an unsolicited application.
- Discuss with the supervisor about the process and the title of the thesis.
- Registrate your thesis:
- Familiarize yourself with the examination regulations and faculty informations about the thesis registration process.
- Fill out the registration form of the Examination Office and get all required signatures.
- Note that a second examiner is required for a master thesis. In this case, please contact the supervisor and the first examiner to select a suitable second examiner.
- Send the form back to the Examination Office.
- During the thesis:
- A kick-off meeting takes place within the first two weeks, at which you present your topic to the first examiner.
- The typical schedule for supervision consists of one session per week. But for further questions please just ask - your supervisor will be happy to help! :)
- You will have at least one intermediate presentation in front of your supervisor and examiner/s.
- Arrange a date for the final presentation with your supervisor and the examiner/s early on (final presentation usually takes place in the first two weeks after submission of the thesis).

- Language: You can write your thesis in either German or English.
- Writing format: The thesis should be written exclusively in Latex.
