Poster Presentation by M.Sc. Fabienne Ryll at the 2nd International Workshop on Reacting Particle-Gas Systems

The poster presented by M.Sc. Fabienne Ryll showcased recent experimental advances in the investigation of thermochemical conversion in single porous particles. A key aspect of her work involves the development and construction of a dedicated single-particle reactor, as well as the integration of various laser spectroscopic techniques to gain deeper insight into the conversion processes. Additionally, X-ray micro-computed tomography is used to visualize the internal structure of the particles at different reaction stages.
Complementing this, Dr.-Ing. Andrea Dernbecher contributed initial results from a heat transfer model for porous media, specifically tailored to the conditions within the reactor.
The 2nd International Workshop on Reacting Particle-Gas Systems was held from June 16th to 18th, 2025, in Magdeburg, Germany, and organized by the Collaborative Research Centre 287 BULK-REACTION. The CRC/TRR is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) – TRR 287 – 422037413.
